Kids of Africa offers a different way to experience Uganda. Grounded, authentic, and meaningful.

For more than 20 years, we have been an international children’s charity deeply rooted in the country and its communities. Alongside our social work, we welcome visitors who value simplicity, human connection, and a slower pace of travel.

Our accommodation is intentionally no-frills: safe, welcoming, and embedded in real life in Uganda. Our children and young people take genuine pride in hosting guests and sharing their world.

We run two distinct guest houses:

Kids of Africa – Children’s Village, Bwerenga

Located close to Entebbe International Airport, directly on the shores of Lake Victoria, our children’s village combines accessibility with a sense of calm. It is an ideal first stop in Uganda and a place to arrive, connect, and unwind.

Kids of Africa Forest Farm – Buhweju

High on a hill in western Uganda, our Forest Farm is a quiet sanctuary overlooking wide valleys and untouched landscapes. Reaching it requires time and patience – the road is rough, and the journey from Entebbe, Kampala, or our children’s village takes a full day. But those who make the journey are rewarded with deep peace, space, and perspective.
